Thing 1 & 2

A.  I created a blog last (?) year.  There was an error in the name and I could not change it.  Extreme Frustration
B.  Had a temp account for some reason, because I had to register in the past, probably in a hurry, and could not remember passwords, etc.
C.  Spent last hour trying to delete one, create another, manage kids (am at home now, so doing my other job, too)  FrustrationX100.
D.  Watched video for Thing 1.  I understand the power of technology.  I agree that kids have access to technology.  I don't think it is the magic answer.  MY kids, and the kids of people I know, don't sent 200,000 text messages.  They use google/ask.com, but not to gain greater insight into anything...they could find the answers in their text book.  They don't spend all of their time in front of TVs and computers.  Maybe we should require all students to have music lessons, as there is research that proves that that increases problem solving ability, creative thinking, etc.  Not sure I want my own kid to be required to send in text messages and respond to emails yet-but that's just me.
E.  I look forward to learning about Podcasts.

  1. Getting started on something new is always the hardest part. Add in the usual technology and when you don't use it often, it adds to it. That's the reason we are so excited about having everyone do this project. If you use this regularly over a period of time, you will get comfortable with it and will be willing to (and wanting to) use it more and more! I'll be along for the ride, so let me know if you have any questions along the way. You've already gotten to Thing 12 by the time I'm just getting started reading your posts, so I'll do my best to get caught up.
